Apollo io pricing plans and prices per seat
Apollo sells four plans, priced per seat. The yearly prices and the credit pools below are from Apollo's own pricing page; so are the month to month prices, checked in a desktop browser on October 15, 2026 (Basic $65, Professional $99, Organization marked annual only, with 2,500, 4,000 and 6,000 credits per seat a month on monthly billing). Older 2026 guides quote $59 for Basic month to month; that rate is gone. Apollo labels its current rates as introductory pricing that may change, so confirm at checkout.
| Plan | Per seat, billed yearly | Per seat, month to month | Credits per seat | Notable limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 900 a year, granted monthly | 2 sequences, 250 sends a day, basic filters |
| Basic | $49 | $65 | 30,000 a year, granted upfront | 1 mailbox per user, 250 sends a day |
| Professional | $79 | $99 | 48,000 a year, granted upfront | Unlimited sends, A/Z testing, AI call insights |
| Organization | $119 | Yearly only | 72,000 a year, granted upfront | Minimum 3 seats, SSO, custom reports |
The seat is the unit that drives the bill. A team of five on Professional pays $4,740 a year upfront on yearly billing, or $495 a month month to month. Adding a sixth rep adds a full seat, whether that person reveals 50 emails or 5,000. Salesmotion also notes that yearly contracts do not allow seat reductions mid term, so price the team you will have for the whole year.
How Apollo credits work
Credits are Apollo's metered currency. Its help center lists what spends them: revealing an email or a phone number for a new contact, waterfall enrichment that checks partner data providers, CSV, CRM and API enrichment, job change updates, AI research, and dialer minutes on some plans. Apollo shows the live rate for each action in the app; independent 2026 breakdowns (Docket among them) put an email reveal at 1 credit and a mobile number at 8.
| Rule | What it means for your bill |
|---|---|
| Charged when a verified email is revealed | Per Apollo's help center, you pay for verified emails and for any phone number on net-new contacts. Office phone numbers found with the email are free. |
| Bounce refund within 30 days | If an Apollo verified email bounces and you sent it through Apollo within 30 days, the credits come back next cycle. Mail sent from another tool does not qualify. |
| No rollover | Unused credits expire at the end of the cycle, according to every 2026 breakdown we read. |
| Phone costs several times an email | Teams that call as much as they email use the pool far faster than the plan's headline credit number suggests. |
The bounce refund deserves a closer read. It is a fair policy, but it ties you to Apollo's sequencer: if your team sends from Outreach, Instantly or its own inboxes, a bounced Apollo email is simply a lost credit and a hit to your sender reputation. That is the case for checking the export before the send in a mailbox level verifier.
Apollo io cost for an email-only team
Plenty of teams buy Apollo for one thing: getting email addresses for people they have already chosen. Here is what that costs, with the assumptions stated. Four reps, each needing about 400 verified work emails a month, sending from a sequencer they already pay for. No phone numbers, no dialer.
| Option | Monthly cost | Commitment | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apollo Basic, 4 seats, yearly | $196 ($2,352 paid upfront) | 12 months | 120,000 credits a year, far more than 19,200 emails need, plus the database and sequencer |
| Apollo Basic, 4 seats, monthly | $260 | Month to month | The same features, no yearly contract |
| EmailExtractor Growth | $149 | Month to month | 5,000 verified finds and 10 seats; misses, unconfirmed guesses and duplicates not counted |
Per credit, Apollo is cheap: on yearly Basic a credit costs about 2 cents if you use the whole pool. The catch is that the pool is sized for people who live in Apollo all day. An email-only team pays for seats and credits it never touches, and pays more for each rep it adds. Our plans count verified results instead of seats, and every address is checked against the company's own pages on the day you search, not read from a stored record.
Apollo pricing compared with other ways to get emails
Different tools meter different things. Prices below are the entry paid plans, read from each vendor's page or help center in September 2026.
| Tool | Entry paid plan | Billed by | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apollo.io | $49 a seat a month, yearly | Seat plus credits | One tool for database, sequences and dialer |
| Hunter | $49 a month for 2,000 credits | Credits, 1 per email found | Domain search and a simple finder, unlimited team members |
| ZoomInfo | Not published; Salesmotion cites Vendr data averaging $33,500 a year | Annual contract | Enterprise data depth and intent |
| EmailExtractor | $49 a month for 1,000 verified finds | Verified finds only | Teams that know who to contact and need work emails |
Our own row, stated plainly: we do not have a contact database with job title filters, and we do not return phone numbers. If you need to discover who to target, Apollo does that and we do not. If you only open Apollo to reveal emails, the Apollo.io alternative page prices seats against verified finds for teams of 1, 4 and 10 reps. If the names already come from LinkedIn, an event list or your CRM, our email enrichment tool fills the email column for a whole CSV and bills only the rows that come back verified. The Hunter io pricing breakdown covers the closest finder-only option.
Is Apollo.io worth the money?
Apollo fits if
Your reps prospect, sequence and call from one screen every day. At $49 to $79 a seat you get the database, the sequencer and the dialer, and teams that phone prospects heavily can pair it with AI cold calling that qualifies leads and books meetings to work more of the list.
Look elsewhere if
You already know who to contact, send from another tool, and mostly need verified addresses. Then per-seat pricing and expiring credits work against you, and an email finder billed per verified result is the cheaper purchase.
Apollo io pricing questions
How much does Apollo.io cost per month?
Apollo.io costs $0 on the Free plan, $49 per seat a month on Basic, $79 on Professional and $119 on Organization, all billed yearly. Paid month to month, Basic costs $65 and Professional $99 per seat. Organization is sold on yearly billing only and needs at least 3 seats, so its real entry price is about $4,284 a year.
Is Apollo.io free?
Apollo has a free plan with 900 credits per seat a year, granted monthly, basic search filters, 2 sequences and a 250 email daily sending cap. It is enough to test the database and reveal some emails. Teams that prospect every day run out of credits fast and move to a paid plan.
How do Apollo credits work?
Credits are spent when you reveal a verified email or a phone number for a new contact, enrich records by CSV, CRM or API, or use AI research. Third-party 2026 breakdowns put an email at 1 credit and a mobile number at 8. Apollo shows the current rate for each action in the app under its credit settings.
Do Apollo credits roll over?
No. Independent 2026 breakdowns agree that unused Apollo credits expire at the end of the billing cycle and are not carried forward. On yearly plans the credits are granted upfront for the whole year, so an early burst of list building can use up most of the annual pool.
Does Apollo refund credits for bounced emails?
Yes, with conditions. Apollo's help center says that if you email an Apollo verified address within 30 days of revealing it and the message bounces, the credits come back in the next billing cycle. The refund applies only to messages sent through Apollo, and never to mobile numbers.
Is Apollo.io worth it for a small team?
It is worth it if you will use the database, the sequencer and the dialer together, because the per-seat price covers all three. If you only need email addresses for people you have already picked, a verified email finder billed per result is usually cheaper and has no yearly per-seat commitment.
