01ALTERNATIVE

RocketReach alternative and RocketReach competitor for teams that only need verified work emails

If your RocketReach seat mostly turns into email exports, you are paying 8 to 33 cents per contact for something an email finder does for 3 to 5 cents. Type a name and a company domain, get the most likely work address with its evidence, and pay only when it is confirmed.

For SDRs, founders, recruiters and agencies who already know who they want to reach. Misses, unconfirmed guesses and duplicates are free.

What is better than RocketReach?

That depends on which half of RocketReach you use. RocketReach is a people database: 700 million professionals and 60 million companies you can filter by title, employer, school and location, with emails, phone numbers and, on Ultimate, intent data. If you live in those filters and call the numbers, the closest swaps are other databases such as ZoomInfo, Apollo and Lusha.

Many teams do not. They build the list somewhere else, often LinkedIn or a CRM, and open RocketReach only to get the email. For that job a seat with an export cap is the expensive route. An email finder with verification built in takes the name and the company domain you already have, checks the likely address against the company's own pages, and bills only when it is confirmed. That is what we sell.

03COST

Is RocketReach worth it for email-only prospecting?

RocketReach's annual plans include unlimited lookups under a fair use limit, but every contact that leaves the platform, by CSV, list upload, bulk job, API or CRM push, uses an export. For email work the export cap is the real price. Here is the cost per exported contact on each yearly plan next to our cost per verified email, both at full use.

  • RocketReach Essentials 19 to 33 cents per contact

    $229 to $399 a year, 1,200 exports

  • RocketReach Pro 17 to 25 cents per contact

    $619 to $899 a year, 3,600 exports

  • RocketReach Ultimate 7 to 8.5 cents per contact

    $1,379 to $1,699 a year, 20,000 exports

  • EmailExtractor Starter 4.9 cents per contact

    $588 a year, 12,000 verified finds

  • EmailExtractor Growth 3 cents per contact

    $1,788 a year, 60,000 verified finds

RocketReach prices are the per-seat yearly prices on rocketreach.co ($33, $75 and $142 a month billed annually). Our yearly figures are twelve months of the monthly plan. Bars are scaled to the 33 cent line. Full plan details, the monthly lookup limits and the custom team plans from $6,000 a year are in our RocketReach pricing breakdown.

Two things push the RocketReach number up in real use. An export is used whether or not you ever email the contact, and a contact exported with an A- or B grade email may still bounce. On our side an address that fails a check, or that we cannot confirm, costs nothing.

RocketReach competitors compared on what changes the bill

Who are RocketReach competitors? The usual shortlist is Apollo, Hunter and us for email work, and ZoomInfo or Lusha when phones and firmographics matter. This table sticks to facts we read from each vendor's own pages, including where RocketReach comes out ahead.

Where RocketReach wins, plainly: it has a searchable people database, phone numbers and a Chrome extension, and we have none of those. If your reps build lists inside RocketReach by title and location, keep it, and run its exports through our bulk email verification to drop rows on dead domains, disposable domains and typos before a send. Pricing for the other columns is in the Apollo.io pricing and Hunter.io pricing breakdowns.

05WHO SWITCHES

Who uses a RocketReach alternative like this

The teams that save the most share one habit. They already have the names.

SDR teams

Accounts from the CRM

Target accounts and contact names already sit in the CRM. The rep needs a sendable email for each, not another database to browse.

Recruiters

Shortlists from LinkedIn

The shortlist comes from LinkedIn Recruiter. The work address of the candidate or the hiring manager is the last step. See the recruiter email finder.

Agencies

Client lists in bulk

A client sends a CSV of names and companies. Upload it, get verified emails back, and bill the client for what was found, not for seats.

Founders

Fifty people that matter

A founder selling to fifty named buyers does not need a $229 to $399 seat. Starter covers 1,000 verified finds a month for two people.

06HOW IT WORKS

How to switch from RocketReach without losing a week

You can run both side by side until the RocketReach term ends. RocketReach cancellations take effect at the next term, so there is no reason to stop early.

  1. Export what you have

Pull your saved RocketReach lists to CSV while the seat is active. Keep names, companies and domains.

  2. Re-check the emails

Upload the file to bulk email verification. Old exports lose a few percent a month to job changes.

  3. Find the gaps

Rows that fail or never had an email go through the finder by name and domain. Only verified results count.

  4. Send or push

Download the verified rows or push them to HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce on Growth.

07PLANS

What the switch costs

A two-person team on RocketReach Pro pays close to $1,800 a year for 7,200 exports between them (RocketReach takes about 5% off an added seat). Growth costs $1,788 a year for 60,000 verified finds and ten seats. If the team needs phones every day, that comparison is not fair to RocketReach. If it needs emails, it is the whole story.

  • Starter, $49 a month: 1,000 verified finds, 2 seats, bulk jobs up to 1,000 rows.
  • Growth, $149 a month: 5,000 verified finds, 10 seats, bulk jobs up to 10,000 rows, push to HubSpot, Pipedrive and Salesforce, scheduled re-verification of saved lists.
  • Scale, $399 a month: 20,000 verified finds, unlimited seats, REST API and webhooks. See the email finder API.
  • Never counted: addresses not found, undeliverable results, unconfirmed guesses and duplicates.
08QUESTIONS

RocketReach alternative questions

What is better than RocketReach?

It depends on what you use RocketReach for. If you need phone numbers, intent data and a people database to search, ZoomInfo, Apollo or Lusha are the usual swaps. If you mostly export work emails for people you already picked, a per-result email finder is cheaper: you pay only for verified addresses, not for exports.

Who are RocketReach competitors?

The main RocketReach competitors are ZoomInfo, Apollo.io, Lusha, ContactOut, Seamless.AI, UpLead and Cognism on the database side, and Hunter, Snov.io, Anymail Finder and EmailExtractor on the email finder side. Database tools sell seats and credits for search and phones. Email finders bill per found or verified address.

Is RocketReach worth it?

RocketReach is worth it when you use its search filters and phone numbers every week. For email-only work the export cap sets the price: Essentials is $229 to $399 a year for 1,200 exports, about 19 to 33 cents per contact depending on the price list RocketReach shows you, and Pro is $619 to $899 for 3,600, about 17 to 25 cents. A verified email on our Starter plan costs 4.9 cents.

Is Apollo better than RocketReach?

Apollo is the better fit if you want a database, sequences and a dialer in one tool and can live with credit limits per seat. RocketReach is simpler and stronger on exports to recruiting systems like Bullhorn. Neither is cheaper for email-only volume than a finder that charges only for verified finds and lets misses go free.

What sites are like RocketReach?

Sites like RocketReach fall into two groups. Contact databases (ZoomInfo, Apollo, Lusha, ContactOut, UpLead) let you search people by title, company and location. Email finders (Hunter, Snov.io, EmailExtractor) take a name and a company domain and return a work email, usually with verification. Pick by whether you need to discover people or only reach them.

Can I cancel RocketReach anytime?

Yes. RocketReach says you can cancel from the accounts page at any time, but because plans are prepaid, the cancellation takes effect at the next term. On an annual plan you keep access for the full year you paid for, so time the switch to the renewal date rather than mid-term.

Pay for verified emails, not for exports

Bring the names you already have. Every address is checked and only the verified ones count.
