UpLead alternative and UpLead competitors compared for teams that pay per contact but only use the email
An UpLead credit costs 37 to 58 cents and buys one contact with an email and a mobile number. If your reps never dial that number, most of the price is wasted. Type a name and a company domain here instead, get the work email with the company page that backs it, and pay only for verified finds.
For SDR teams, founders and agencies who already know who to email. Not found and unconfirmed rows never count.

What is a good alternative to UpLead?
The answer depends on the mobile number. Every UpLead credit unlocks one contact with an email and a direct dial, and that bundle is what you pay for. Teams that call get value from it. Teams that send cold email to people they already picked are paying for a phone column they never open, which is why a per-result email finder is the usual alternative for them.
UpLead Essentials, billed yearly
2,040
contacts a year for $888, one user
Each unlock includes an email and a mobile direct dial. Extra credits cost $0.60 each on Essentials.
EmailExtractor Growth, billed yearly
60,000
verified finds a year for $888, ten seats
Each find is a work email the company backs on its own site. No phone numbers. Misses are free.
Same $888. UpLead prices are from uplead.com/pricing, read on 12 October 2026. If your team dials, the left card is the fair deal and you should stay. If it only emails, the right card is the one that matches the work.
Is UpLead worth it for email-only prospecting?
Divide each plan by its credits and the gap is plain. UpLead's monthly Essentials plan is $99 for 170 credits, Plus is $199 for 400. Yearly billing cuts that to $74 and $149 a month with 2,040 and 4,800 credits a year. Both are single-user accounts; seats come only with the Professional plan, which is annual and quoted.
-
UpLead Essentials, monthly 58.2 cents each
$99 a month, 170 credits
-
UpLead Plus, monthly 49.8 cents each
$199 a month, 400 credits
-
UpLead Essentials, yearly 43.5 cents each
$888 a year, 2,040 credits
-
UpLead Plus, yearly 37.3 cents each
$1,788 a year, 4,800 credits
-
EmailExtractor Starter, monthly 4.9 cents each
$49 a month, 1,000 verified finds
-
EmailExtractor Growth, yearly 1.5 cents each
$888 a year, 60,000 verified finds
All figures assume every credit or find is used. Bars are scaled to the 58.2 cent line.
Where the credit goes when you only email
You pay for the whole contact, email and mobile together. If only the email is used, a $0.58 unlock becomes a $0.58 email. The full plan breakdown, with extra credit prices and the refund rule, is in our UpLead pricing guide.
UpLead vs Apollo vs a per-result email finder
Who are UpLead competitors? For email work the realistic shortlist is Apollo.io, Hunter and us, with Lusha when the team also wants a LinkedIn extension. Every number below comes from the vendor's own pricing page or help center, including the rows where UpLead wins.
| UpLead | Apollo.io | Hunter | EmailExtractor | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Entry paid plan | $99 a month, or $74 a month yearly | $49 a month per seat, yearly | $34 a month, yearly | $49 a month, or $24 a month yearly |
| What one unit buys | 1 credit = 1 contact, email plus mobile | 1 credit per verified email, more for phones | 1 credit per email found | 1 verified find per backed address |
| Users included | 1 on Essentials and Plus | Priced per seat | Unlimited team members | 2 on Starter, 10 on Growth, unlimited on Scale |

| Best for | A solo rep who calls and emails from one list | Data, sequences and dialer in one seat | Emails by company domain | Email-only outbound from a known list |
Is UpLead better than Apollo? On simplicity and phones per credit, yes; on price per contact, no, and Apollo's full math is in Apollo.io pricing. Where UpLead beats us, plainly: mobile numbers, a filterable database and buyer intent. We have none of those. If Lusha is also on your list, the Lusha alternative page runs the same numbers for its credits.
When to keep UpLead and when to move the email work
You dial the numbers
If a third or more of your touches are calls, the mobile in each credit pays for itself and a finder will not replace it.
The names already exist
Named accounts in the CRM, a conference list, a client CSV. Fill the email column with the email enrichment tool and keep UpLead credits for calls.
A second rep needs access
Essentials and Plus are single-user. Growth gives ten seats and, with the employee email finder, several contacts per account for each rep.
How to move from UpLead in four steps
There is no reason to cancel early. Run both until the UpLead term ends and move email-only lists first.
-
Use remaining credits on calls
Spend what is left on contacts where you want the mobile.
-
Upload your next list
Names and company domains in a CSV. Starter takes 1,000 rows per job, Growth 10,000.
-
Keep the verified rows
Each find links to the page that backs it. Guesses stay off the bill.
-
Push to the CRM
Download, or push to HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce on Growth at no cost per record.
What the same work costs on our plans
A rep on UpLead Plus monthly unlocks 400 contacts for $199. On Starter the same 400 emails fit inside 1,000 monthly finds for $49, and a second seat is included. A team of three paying for three UpLead seats would need a Professional quote; on Growth all three fit in one plan.
- Starter, $49 a month or $288 a year: 1,000 verified finds a month, 2 seats, bulk jobs up to 1,000 rows.
- Growth, $149 a month or $888 a year: 5,000 verified finds a month, 10 seats, bulk jobs up to 10,000 rows, push to HubSpot, Pipedrive and Salesforce, scheduled re-verification of saved lists.
- Scale, $399 a month or $2,388 a year: 20,000 verified finds a month, unlimited seats, REST API and webhooks. See the email finder API.
- Never counted: addresses not found, failed checks, unconfirmed pattern guesses and duplicates.
UpLead alternative questions
What is a good alternative to UpLead?
If you need phones and a searchable B2B database, look at Apollo.io, Lusha, RocketReach or ZoomInfo. If your reps already have the names and mostly need the work email, a per-result email finder is the cheaper alternative: you pay only for addresses it can back with evidence, at 1.5 to 4.9 cents each instead of 37 to 58 cents per UpLead credit.
Who are UpLead competitors?
UpLead competitors fall into two groups. Contact databases with mobile numbers: Apollo.io, ZoomInfo, Lusha, Cognism, RocketReach, Seamless.AI and ContactOut. Email finders that start from a name and a company domain: Hunter, Snov.io, Anymail Finder and EmailExtractor. The right group depends on whether your team calls or only emails.
Is UpLead worth the money?
UpLead is worth it when you use the mobile direct dial that comes with each credit and you build lists with its filters. For email-only outbound it is expensive: Essentials is $99 a month for 170 credits, about 58 cents a contact, and only one user can log in. A verified find on our Starter plan costs 4.9 cents.
Is UpLead better than Apollo?
UpLead is simpler and bundles a mobile number into every credit, with a 95% email accuracy claim. Apollo is far cheaper per contact, sells seats instead of small credit packs and adds sequences and a dialer. For a team that only needs verified emails, both cost more than a finder that bills per verified address.
Does UpLead have a free trial?
Yes. UpLead lists a free trial of 7 days with 5 credits, which unlock 5 contacts. That is enough to see the data format but not enough to test accuracy on your own market. Run 50 to 100 of your real prospects through any tool you are comparing before you sign a yearly plan.
Can I cancel UpLead and keep my credits?
Monthly UpLead credits are tied to the billing period, and reviewers report that unused credits do not roll over. On annual billing the yearly credit total is granted for the term. The cheapest switch is to spend what is left on contacts where you need the mobile number and move email-only lists to a finder before renewal.
Pay for the email you send, not the whole contact record
Bring the names you already have. Every address is checked, and only the ones the company backs count.
